Chengdu–Chongqing Intercity Railway (also known as Chengdu-Chongqing High-speed) is started from Chengdu East Station on the west, which passes through Jianyang South Station, Ziyang North Station, Zizhong North Station, Neijiang North Station and Longchang North Station eastwards, and enters into the territory of Chongqing. It also passes through Rongchang North Station, Dazu, Yongchuan East Station, Bishan and Shapingba, and arrives in Caiyuanba. The whole length is divided into 12 stations. Total estimated investment is 39.89 billion Yuan in the project, wherein static investment is 35.85 billion Yuan. Total construction duration is 4 years. The whole line length is 308km, which is shortened by nearly 200km compared with old Chengdu–Chongqing Line as long as 505km. The length of bridge and tunnel accounts for 66% of the whole length. Double-line ballastless track is adopted in the whole line.
