Guiyang-Guangzhou High-speed Railway is also called Guiyang-Guangzhou Passenger Dedicated Line. It belongs to a standard level 300km/h line (rather than Express Railroad). Current running speed is 250km/h. Acceleration space is reserved. The line passes through Qiannanzhou, Qiandongnanzhou, Guangxi Liuzhou (north, non-downtown area), Guilin, Hezhou, Guangdong Zhaoqing and Foshan, which is ended in Guangzhou South Station.
It is the most convenient railway passage to sea in Southwest China, and high-speed channel for realizing 'interconnectivity' among Yangtze River Economic Belt, Pearl River Economic Belt, Xijiang Economic Belt and China-Bangladesh-Burma-India Economic Corridor. Time and space distance between Southwest China and Pearl River Delta can be shortened.
